The music of Two Coats Colder is influenced by the compelling storytelling and evocative melodies of traditional and contemporary folk music from both sides of the Atlantic, and by the land and people around us – the emotions, relationships, landscapes, seascapes, sunshine and shadow which make up the tangled fabric of our experience of life. We hope you enjoy listening to our songs as much as we enjoy creating and performing them.

We are based in Great Bardfield, Essex, but spend as much time as we can on the North Norfolk coast. The name "Two Coats Colder" was inspired by the local wisdom that the North Norfolk Coast is "two coats colder" than anywhere else, at any time of the year. It might just as easily apply to the West Coast of Canada, where Anna spent several seasons on a Gray Whale research project, if not to Dorset, where she was born and where we both still visit when we're not heading North to Norfolk
